All students seeking to be a part of the Summer Music Camp must send in a tape audition no later than May 29, 2011. Student should mark the CD or DVD with your name, age and instrument. Please introduce each section by clearly stating what you are going to play.
Please include the following:
Chromatic scale, all octaves known (pianists should play hands together)
Two major scales of your choice, all octaves known (Please pick one flat and one All sharp key signature and announce the scale before playing)
Prepared piece: Please choose a prepared piece that best reflects your current ability level. (This should be no longer than 3 minutes and should demonstrate both your technical and musical ability. Guitar, Bass, Drums and Piano should pick two pieces or etudes of contrasting style.)
Please note: If you would like to audition on multiple instruments, please prepare the preceding for your main instrument and then play a prepared piece on each additional instrument.
