Mission

Youth Music Outreach is committed to quality musical instruction that challenges students to strive for musical excellence, community service and a whole-hearted commitment towards God.

Vision

The vision of Youth Music Outreach is to be a place where students can explore and develop the musical talents God has given them and boldly proclaim God’s love and truth through the music they play and the way they live their lives to people of every age, race and social background.

Core Values

Our purpose, goal and success will only come through God’s guidance and power. Therefore, prayer is a key to Youth Music Outreach. We seek God’s guidance in decisions, pray for students, and praise Him, knowing that it is by Him that all things will happen. (Rom. 11:36; Eph. 6:18-20; Phil. 4:6-7; Col. 4:2)

Christians, as a whole, are called to work together in unity. We therefore seek to meet together in an encouraging environment, challenging one another through instruction, discussion and accountability. (Heb. 10:24-25; Rom. 15:5-6; Phil. 2:1-2; 1 Thes. 5:11)

Growth, as Christians, is the key to spiritual maturity. Therefore our YMO staff members seeks to set examples for the students through the way we live our lives and the things we talk about, and by always directing them toward Christ. (2 Pe. 1:12-13; Phil. 3:17; Heb. 10:24; Phil. 4:9)

God, being perfect and holy, wants our best. We therefore seek to give Him our best in all things, teaching students to play with musical excellence and to transfer the hard work and dedication learned into every area of their lives so that they may honor the One who has gifted them. (Psalm 33:3; Col. 3:23; Eph. 2:10; 1 Pe. 4:10-11; 1 Cor. 10:31)

Music is a gift from God, designed to be used for reverent worship of Him. Therefore, we seek to play music in a way that honors and glorifies Him. (Eph. 5:19-20; Psalm 150; Psalm 96:7-9; Psalm 100)

We are called to be witnesses of all that God has done through Christ. Therefore, YMO seeks to be actively involved in spreading the Gospel through organized outreach and global missions. (Eph. 4:15; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)
